Participation in Internal Review
The P-PACT team all have experience of operating a senior levels in support of the access to information regimes. Where an applicant has asked for review, P-PACT is happy to assume the role of 'independent honest broker' to supervise and participate in the review process. Our objective is to ensure that the decision made on this occasion truly reflects the position of the public sector body, and that the response to the applicant can be supported in the event of any subsequent complaint to the Information Commissioner.
Complaint Management
If you have received notification from the Information Commissioner that a complaint has been made against your organisation, P-PACT can help you recover the situation. We will manage all liaison with the ICO on your behalf and take positive steps to not only to resolve the request but to avoid the situation recurring. In many cases we have been able to help organisations deal with the complaint in such a way that they have been able to avoid formal enforcement measures being taken against them.
Holiday Cover
The Freedom of Information Act and the Environmental Information Regulations are unforgiving in the strictness of the application of limited timeframes for compliance. Where practitioners work in isolation this frequently causes difficulty in that there is little or no experience available to deal with complex requests for information which may arise during periods of leave or sickness. P-PACT is able to provide an interim service which will ensure that the requirements of compliance are met even at such times.
