Networks
Following the introduction of Freedom of Information Laws in the Republic of Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, it was acknowledged that FOI Networks played and would continue to play a vital role in securing the effective implementation of FOI. Indeed, whenever and wherever access to information legislation has been introduced in recent times, any subsequent evaluation of the process has concluded that an essential element in the success or otherwise of implementation has been the establishment of networks to promote the sharing of learning and experience of good - and bad - practice.
Sector and geographical networks have been and continue to be established across the UK and it is essential that newly-appointed information professionals know where to find help. We have therefore established this page to promote local networks and to identify contact details. Once the details of any network have been supplied to us we will rely on you to update any information. We will of course be pleased to advertise any events on your behalf.
